We are rethinking digital guest directories. Colorful, vibrant and filled with fun - something that reflects the identity of The People. Thanks to gamification and AI support.
The People App is the ultimate companion for guests before, during and after their stay and enriches the guest experience. Always ready at the guest's fingertips, easy to find, clearly arranged, always accessible and personalized. As a digital guest directory, it contains all the information about your booking, the hostel, its services and amenities, the surrounding area and other relevant information that the guest may need for their stay.
One solution for different types of accommodation and guest segments: We achieve this through gamification and digital services. Guests receive a personalized, convenient and unique experience during their stay that meets their needs. Comfort is enhanced, loyalty is increased, and new upselling opportunities are created for the hotel. Digital services and translations into all languages minimize communication barriers during the stay.
The Stay feature offers a comprehensive overview of your current stay, providing digital check-in and check-out, in-app payments, a digital key, restaurant ordering, and workspace reservations. Other useful services include ordering towels and cleaning, equipment rental, a print service with encrypted file upload, wake-up service, and a report button for maintenance issues. Guests can receive their welcome drink as a digital coupon and use the app to waive housekeeping and receive coupons.
The digital concierge assists guests throughout their stay, offering city activity recommendations, local insights from hosts, and cab bookings. The AI-powered chat serves as a central point of contact, providing personalized activity plans based on interests and stay details, as well as pre-trip information and emergency numbers for international travelers.
Our community functions are what make our app unique and The People spirit tangible. These are at the heart of our gamification approach. You can network with other travelers before your stay, plan joint activities or arrange to play games in the lobby. There is also an event calendar for events at the hostel, such as games afternoons, pizza evenings or parties. In addition, there are little gimmicks such as a wheel of fortune, digital drinking games, a function for music requests for the lobby music or at parties. This is rounded off by a digital guest book and a world map where guests can mark their country of origin with a pin.
The app uses notifications to communicate with guests in real time. This way, guests can be wished a good morning and breakfast can be quickly upsold. Guests can also collect badges, e.g. for each hostel, number of nights or events such as the Olympic Games.
Overall, the app adapts to each guest segment and accompanies them from check-in to check-out in different ways. It also lives up to the hybrid brand promise by covering the various accommodation offers and the multifunctionality of the living spaces.
